Universities of Applied Sciences (UAS) play a key role for the regional innovativeness and maintain strong international cooperations: Their excellent relations with national and regional industrial partners ensure a continuity of exchange between academia and industry experts. International teaching programs and worldwide partnerships are well established and continually expanded. The research and teaching profiles of Universities of Applied Sciences are distinctive in the vivid ecosystem of research and industry, which distinguishes them as key players for technology transfer and innovation. 

For researchers interested in deepening their expertise in close cooperation with the industry, a career at a UAS offers attractive perspectives. During this session, UAS from Germany will present how to pursue career paths in applied sciences and how to qualify for a UAS professorship.
