European Funding Opportunities for Postdocs – European Research Council (ERC) and Marie Skłodowska Curie Postdoctoral Fellowships (MSCA-PF) (GAIN26)
Horizon Europe is the EU’s current Framework Programme for Research and Innovation with a budget of €95.5 billion. It offers a broad range of funding opportunities for internationally mobile researchers, including those considering a return or a move to Europe. Highly attractive schemes, including Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellowships and European Research Council grants for researchers developing or consolidating an independent research profile, are open across all fields of research.
This workshop provides an overview of the two funding instruments, explains key aspects of the application process, and offers practical guidance for developing a competitive proposal. Following a concise introduction to ERC and MSCA -PF, an interactive panel will bring together an ERC grantee, an MSCA Global Fellow, and a postdoc career expert to share experiences and offer guidance for internationally mobile researchers. The workshop is designed for researchers interested in funding opportunities and academic career pathways in Germany and Europe. Research managers and other research support professionals are also warmly invited.
