Advancing your Research Career in Germany: Opportunities for Postdocs, Young Investigators, and Junior Faculty Members (GAIN26)

Germany stands at the forefront of cutting-edge research in the heart of Europe. As the second most international study and research destination worldwide right after the US, Germany is strongly invested in international academic cooperation. Whether you’re considering a research stay, launching an independent research group at a leading German university or institute, or building international collaborations, Germany offers outstanding opportunities.

We invite international doctoral candidates, postdoctoral researchers, and junior faculty to join this event and explore funding options as well as targeted programs designed to support independent research careers in Germany, including the newly launched Global Minds Initiative. Researchers, PhD students and postdocs from all disciplines are warmly welcome. The workshop will be held in English and is hosted by the American Friends of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation (AvH), the DAAD, and the DFG.
