Your Path to Academic Independence: Leading a Junior Research Group (GAIN26)

Participants will gain an overview of the different programmes (third party funded, non-university institutions research groups, university programmes), funding schemes, and structural features of junior research groups across the German research system.
The session combines a brief introductory input with a moderated panel of (current) group leaders and an open Q&A. This allows participants to gain first-hand insights, compare options, and clarify their questions. A short reflection at the end supports participants in identifying concrete next steps.
