You Can Have it Both! Career (Promotion) at the Interface of Research and Society (GAIN25)

The aim of the workshop is to provide multi-perspective, innovative insights into career paths at the interface of research and society. A particular focus will be placed on the potential that arises from combining these two fields. Career paths at this interface are often dynamic and diverse, requiring a wide range of skills, but offering the opportunity to put excellent research into practice and actively shape processes of societal transformation. At the same time, they enable the needs of both areas to be understood in the best possible way and the relevant expertise to be combined in a targeted manner. The workshop brings together representatives from universities, universities of applied sciences, companies/start-ups, and funding organizations to identify and detail relevant (support for) career paths “between the worlds” and discuss these with the participating postdocs.
