“Sciencepreneurship” – StartupFactories boost spin-offs (GAIN26)

Many researchers can envision becoming entrepreneurs and turning their research findings into a science-based startup—in the U.S., this is the norm. However, the conditions for “sciencepreneurship” are now excellent in Germany as well—there are tailored support options available.

For example, the 10 new StartupFactories offer assistance with technology transfer and company formation, while SPRIND provides funding for startups and early-stage translation projects.

This workshop will highlight a wide range of opportunities for you. Prof. Dr. Elisabeth Zeisberg, CEO of the Startup Factory GOeFUTURE in Göttingen and a successful founder herself, as well as Arik Willner, CEO of the StartupFactory ImpossibleFounders in Hamburg, will share their experiences—speaking on behalf of all StartupFactories funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs. Prof. Dr. Andreas Zaby, Innovation Manager at SPRIND, will moderate the session and present SPRIND’s financing instruments.
