Leading your own research group can be a significant step toward a professorship in Germany. However, the path is rarely straightforward. Different programs have varying requirements, universities and non-university research institutions set distinct expectations, and tenure track options can be complex. In some cases, entirely unique career paths may emerge.
In this workshop, we will explore these different routes, help you assess their feasibility based on your situation, and hear from experienced experts and an US-American group leader in Germany who will share valuable insights and informal advice that go beyond official brochures.
