Boosting Your European Research Career in Germany: Opportunities in European Universities Alliances (GAIN26)
Currently, 67 German universities are members of a European University Alliance, whose partner institutions from across Europe collaborate closely in research, teaching and community engagement. A position at such a German university offers integration into a large European network. Early-career researchers in particular benefit from an innovative, international academic environment of initiatives that go far beyond mostly nationally focused activities of individual universities.
European Universities Alliances have established new structures and innovative formats that significantly simplify international collaboration, for example by the use of shared research infrastructures or data platforms, support for researcher mobility, joint research service offers and training opportunities.
This session aims to elaborate the potential for further developing individual researchers’ profiles that working at a German university within a European network offers.
