Roundtable: Innovation & Transfer: Where Science Meets Industry
Science and the transfer from science to society and the industry play a central role in Germany’s ability to innovate and thus also in overcoming challenges facing society as a whole, such as climate change, sustainable energy supply and safeguarding democracy. The TU9 Roundtable would like to discuss creative career opportunities and highlight new paths that are open to returnees in the interaction between universities, non-university research institutions and industry in addition to established career paths in science. What paths are there between the various scientific institutions? How much initiative and willingness to take risks is required to start up/become self-employed alongside an academic career? What advice and support is available?
