Büro Führungskräfte zu Internationalen Organisationen (BFIO)
Deutschland ist Mitglied in etwa 300 Internationalen Organisationen, insbesondere der UNO und EU. Hier bieten sich gerade auch für junge Wissenschaftlerinnen und Wissenschaftler herausfordernde Aufgaben und interessante Karrieremöglichkeiten an zahlreichen Orten der Welt.
Um die internationale Personalpolitik der Bundesregierung zu unterstützen, berät das BFIO in Kooperation mit dem Auswärtigen Amt Kandidatinnen und Kandidaten unterschiedlichster Wissenschaftsdisziplinen, Fachgebiete und Karrierestufen zu beruflichen Perspektiven und begleitet sie bei ihrem Bewerbungsprozess.
Ein weiteres Aufgabenfeld ist die Umsetzung des Junior Professional Officer-Programms (JPO-Programm) im Auftrag der Bundesregierung. Dieses Programm ermöglicht Fach- und Führungskräften den Einstieg in reguläre Vertragsverhältnisse im UN-System. Das BFIO ist hier verantwortlich für die Auswahl und Rekrutierung geeigneter Kandidatinnen und Kandidaten sowie die Betreuung während der Programmdauer.
Germany is a member of about 300 International Organizations, especially the United Nations and the European Union. These organizations offer young experts and scientists in particular challenging tasks and interesting career opportunities in numerous places around the world.
In order to support the Federal Government’s international personnel policy, the Bureau for International Organizations’ Personnel (BFIO), in cooperation with the Federal Foreign Office, advises candidates from a wide range of scientific disciplines, subject areas and career stages on career prospects and assists them in their application process.
Another field of activity is the implementation of the Junior Professional Officer Programme (JPO Programme) on behalf of the Federal Government. This program enables young scientists to enter regular employment contracts within the UN system. BFIO is responsible for the selection and recruitment of suitable candidates as well as the support during the programme.
